Kruger2Canyon Properties, a small professional Real Estate Agent in Hoedspruit, offers some suggestions on what to pack for Hoedspruit and surrounding areas.
It is preferable that your bush clothing is of natural fibres such as cotton, wool, bamboo and leather.
Sun hat, sunscreen, sandals, a light jersey and a fleece or jacket. A long sleeve shirt and long pants for bush walks.
For the ever popular game drive or safari, a warm jacket, scarf, gloves, and a ‘beanie’ hat are a must for the winter evenings.
Good walking shoes. Socks. Leather sandals or ‘slops”.
Swimming costume and wrap. Swimming towel if the accommodation establishment does not provide them.
Sunglassas, binoculars and camera. Remember spare batteries and extra memory cards.
Toiletries. Add some moisturising cream to your own list.
Medicines for any special conditions.
Reference guides – Mammals, Bushveld Trees, Birds.
Maps – only needed if you wish to explore on your own.
Driver’s licence. Money for entrance fees to the many places of interest, including the Kruger National Park.
Something to keep the kids busy when travelling. A damp cloth is always useful too.
It is always advisable to have duplicae copies of visas, passports and drivers licence as well as any accommodation or car hire documents. Keep these separate to the originals or give them to another family member.
